Founded in 1949 by Ken Ellis, Ellis Parking Company began as a 50-space surface lot in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. The company has expanded operations into Lansing and Flint and now operates more than 45 locations throughout the State of Michigan. Ken served as the Company’s President and CEO until appointing his son, Michael Ellis, President in 1993. Ken continued in his role as Chairman and CEO, maintaining active involvement in the company and the community, until he passed away in 2010. Michael Ellis has continued the Company's commitment to the growth of Ellis Parking Company and to the Community we work in and serve.

Michael Ellis currently serves as a Board Member for the National Parking Association, Michigan Parking Association, and the City of Grand Rapids Parking Commission.
